It was an exciting development. The committee had been in touch with the Manager of The Haven Foundation, Melbourne, almost from its inception, and were now establishing new contacts at Mind Australia. The fruits of that association were paving the way for this dynamic organisation – recently amalgamated with The Haven Foundation – to fulfil our mission on the Central Coast: to establish permanent, independent, self-contained accommodation in a supportive environment for vulnerable people with an enduring mental illness.
